Yes — every consultation is a remote screenshare. We share our screen, pull up your address on satellite, look at your utility data and your bill together, and walk through the numbers in real time. Nobody from WattsUp shows up at your house for the consult.

How long is it, and is it free?

About 45 minutes, often shorter. It's free, no credit card, no obligation. Your time matters as much as ours — we don't drag it out and we don't pad it with a sales section at the end.

Will I get pressured to buy something?

No. Our framing is 'no sales pitch, just real numbers.' We're as comfortable telling you 'wait six months' or 'you're already in good shape — don't change anything' as we are quoting an installation. The shape of the call is: here's what you have, here's what you're paying, here's what makes sense in what order. You decide.

What do I need to have ready?

Nothing required. A recent electricity bill (or a screenshot of the last 12 months from your utility's website) is the single most useful thing — but if you don't have it, we can pull historical data on the call. If you've already gotten quotes from other installers, those help us calibrate the numbers we show you.

Can I get a written plan even if I don't install with you?

Yes. After the call, if you want it, we'll send a short written summary of what we discussed and a recommended sequence for your house — heat pump first, solar later, battery sized to outage hours, whatever the right answer turned out to be. You're free to take that and use it however you like, including with another installer.

What if I'm outside your service area?

Our standard work is a roughly 70-mile circle around Greater Boston, plus southern New Hampshire (up to Concord) and southern Maine (up to Portland). Vermont and farther-out parts of MA, NH, and ME are case-by-case — never an automatic no. Submit the form and we'll tell you straight whether it's a fit, and if it isn't, we'll point you toward someone we'd trust.
