Services / Energy Storage

Energy storage. Your home's quiet power plant.

The biggest unlock in home energy in the last decade. Storage is how you keep the lights on, smooth out your bill, and stop being at the mercy of a grid that's under more pressure than ever.

The grid that ran your house in 2010 isn't the grid you're on today.

Data centers are pulling more power than entire states. Storms are bigger. Energy markets move in directions nobody can predict. Storage is how you stop being a passenger in all of that.

When you have a battery, the grid stops being your only option. It becomes one of three. Solar makes power. Storage holds it. The grid fills the gap. You decide which one you lean on.

01 THE GRID TODAY

More demand than ever. Less predictability than ever.

The grid was designed for a world that doesn't exist anymore. Data centers now pull more power than entire states. Electric vehicles and heat pumps are doubling household demand. Storms keep getting bigger.

All of it lands on a grid that was already strained. Outages are rising. Rates are climbing. Forecasts are getting harder. A grid under pressure is not a grid you want to depend on alone.

More demand. Less predictability. The grid is more strained today than at any point in modern history.
What's pulling on the grid
01
Data centers & AI
A single data center can pull as much power as a small city.
02
Electric vehicles
Every EV in the driveway is a second household plugged in at night.
03
Home electrification
Heat pumps and electric ranges replace gas, shifting demand to the wires.
04
Bigger storms
Outages are longer and more frequent than they were ten years ago.
The bottom line
The grid is shared. Storage is yours.
Every battery installed adds a little resiliency back to the system, and a lot to your home.
02 RESILIENCE

When the grid goes down, your home doesn't have to.

Today's batteries are powerful enough to run your whole home, not just three or four critical circuits. You decide what stays on. Whole-home backup, or just the essentials, your call.

While your neighbors are running extension cords to a loud generator at 2am, you don't even notice the lights flicker.

Whole home, or just the essentials. You choose how much of your home stays powered. We design around your choice, not around what the system can only afford to run.
Essentials only
A few circuits
Lights, fridge, internet, medical equipment, well pump. The things you can't live without.
Best for
Smaller homes · Lower budget · Longer runtime
Whole home
Every circuit
Every appliance, every room, every outlet. Life keeps going as if nothing happened.
Best for
Working from home · Frequent outages · Full peace of mind
Same battery technology, sized to whichever level of coverage matters to you. We help you decide based on how you actually live.
03 MAXIMUM RESILIENCE

For when the worst really does happen.

Solar charges your battery during the day. The battery powers your home through the night. But what if the storm lasts three days? Or a week? Or longer?

Pair your battery with a fuel-burning generator and you have a closed loop that never quits. The generator turns on when the battery runs low, recharges it, then shuts off. No babysitting. The longest possible backup, on autopilot.

Battery + generator = no limits When there is no sun and no grid, the generator steps in. Your home stays powered through outages that last days or weeks.
How the loop works
01
Sun + battery
Business as usual. Solar makes power, the battery holds it.
02
Grid goes down
Battery keeps your home powered. You barely notice.
03
Battery runs low
After days, not hours, especially if there is no sun to recharge it.
04
Generator kicks on
It runs, recharges the battery, and shuts off. Cycle repeats. You stay powered, indefinitely.
Why this matters
A generator that runs less, lasts longer, and uses less fuel.
Because it only runs to recharge the battery, not to power the whole home in real time. Quieter, cheaper, and far less wear.
04 SAVINGS

Buy power low. Use it high.

Some utilities charge much more for power at peak times (afternoons and evenings) and much less at night. With a battery, you can charge it when power is cheap and use it when it's expensive.

Same energy. Lower bill. Some utilities even pay you for it through demand response programs.

2 to 4x rate gap Between peak and off-peak in many time-of-use plans. We size storage to match how your utility prices power.
Off-peak (overnight)
Cheap
Battery charges from the grid or banked solar. The cheapest hours of the day.
When
Late night · Early morning
On-peak (afternoon & evening)
Expensive
Battery powers the home instead of buying from the utility at peak rates.
When
4pm to 9pm typical · Heat waves
If your utility uses time-of-use rates, storage is one of the fastest payback investments you can make. We model your specific rate plan as part of the plan.
05 RETROFIT OR NEW

Two paths. Same outcome.

Already have solar? We retrofit batteries to existing systems, even ones we didn't install. We work with what's on your roof and the inverter you've got.

Starting fresh? We design solar and storage as one system from day one. Right inverter, right battery, right wiring, all sized together so nothing is wasted.

We do both, equally. Retrofit specialists who also do new installs. We don't push one over the other, we meet you where you are.
Retrofit
Add to existing
Works with most major inverters. Even systems we didn't install. We design around what you've got.
Best for
Homes with solar already · Adding resilience
New system
Designed together
Solar and storage planned as one from day one. Optimized inverter, smart wiring, future-ready.
Best for
Starting fresh · Whole-home plans
Either path lands you in the same place: a home that holds its own power, weathers outages, and runs on your terms.
06 HOW WE WORK

No rigid contract. No pressure.

Storage isn't right for every home, and every home doesn't need the same amount. We start with a free conversation about how you live, what you'd want to keep running in an outage, and what your utility charges you for power.

From there, we build a plan around your home, not around what we want to sell. You can step away any time before installation, no fees, no fight.

  • You see every option, with honest tradeoffs.
  • We size storage for your real outages, not worst-case fear.
  • If a smaller system makes more sense, we'll tell you.
  • We work with the solar you already have, not against it.
